Getting back into English carp fishing

Lat sunday after the amazing time we had in spain me and ny dad went back to the southern still water to target carp. We arrived at eight in the morning and by ten oclock my dad hooked and landed the first fish of the session. A thirteen and a half pound common this was soon eclipsed by a mirror carp of ninteen and three quater pounds. Also landed by my dad and then a one oclock he hooked a lost a twenty pounder at the net. I did not catch a thing but you can,t win them all
