Last saturday me and my dad went fishing at one of ashton keynes club waters. This was the first time we would be using a bait boat so we went for a few hours. It was a nice hot sunny day but we failed to catch despite using the baitboat to reach areas out of casting range. So it was a learning curve for me to use a baitboat for the first time.

went fishing on sunday with my dad and with nice warm weather we decided to fish the corner of the lake where i had my seventeen pound common carp the year before. There was no moving fish fish but we were confident and the constant changing of baits paid off when my dad hooked a lovely looking orange mirror carp on the scales i went to just over fourteen pounds our first fish of the year and i hope to follow soon with my own.
