- i was "forced" into fishing by my best friends hubby (yes mr tiley you know who you are) as i was feeling very left out on a fishing holiday with them and my partner,steve (shrek).
that was in 2006 and i have never looked back!! i can honestly say i love it...nothing beats (well almost nothing) the take on the rod,and fighting it all the way and then seeing what you have hooked into.
my pb's are.....15lb 10 oz common....16lb 12oz mirror....6lb 10oz tench....5lb 8oz bream....11lb ghost carp which "anglers mail" published!! i was well chuffed.
my best friend deb (who i blame for this) was also in anglers mail with her 8lb + barbel. i have not tried river fishing but when the season starts again watch this space.
i love the thrill of surface fishing but i also just like to watch the water buzzing with all those lovely lovely fish feeding away as the sun goes down.
now to finish i will quote a couple of cliches....patience is a virtue (grrrrrrrr) and if you cant beat em...join em!!!!
