well i used to fish for carp for years but stopped completely 2 years ago. soon as the tench wake up i spend til around june maybe july after big ones, then some bream or whatever else before starting perch in late autumn. with the milder winters the tench are spawning very early so only really 2 months to catch them at a decent weight (am after a double)

They have started to stock the little ouse and the river stour with barbel so hoping to get 1 or 2 when the season starts, small ones at that tho.
i fish the river lark, great ouse, little ouse, the cut off channel and the suffolk stour. i sometimes go to the broads but not that often as it is quite pressured nowadays. i am going to give the wissey, wensum and the wavney a go this season for some chub if i can get the time.......so many rivers so little time. what rivers you fish apart from the avon?

Hi Josh
Struggled in the early part, fished the first peg where the river splits into the entrance of the lock and the main stream. Moved upstream and had a reasonable bag of chub on bread.
Are your lakes day ticket?
Cheers
David

Hi Josh,
Yes it is Anchor. Had a great day there despite the freezing weather. I used to fish the Avon loads but moved to Oxfordshire and this was the first time back in years. I'll put up a couple more pics from that day.
