well yesterdays foray didn't bear any fruit. the deadbait rods didn't get a pick up all morning, and the bream never showed. Aaron and myself only got a few small bites on the feeder late on in the morning none of which turned into fish on the bank. Never mind we will persist. The area looked good, a branch off of the main canal around Hempstead that we had seen fish rolling in last weekend, but sadly they were not there yesterday!!

For the past month or so myself and a pal have been fishing the Gloucester canal in search of our first zander.

needless to say i haven't succeeded though my mate has had two small zeds of around 2lb each.

we're trying a section near hempstead bend this weekend that looks very good for predators and shoal fish so fingers crossed!!

Mind you i think we will be concentrating on the bream and roach and just put a dead bait rod out just in case.
