im fishing the PAC event i hope, on the 24th at north hykem pit lincoln! it is a huge water compered to the rivers i fish has enyone fished it for pike and if so got eny tips because i think im gonna need them
im with my bro so iv got to catch a 30 lol
if not got eny advise on fishing large water for pike from the bank

went pike fishing wid my dad on the river whithem! using smelts it seem to work best! got a bite whithen 20 mins or so i was useing a deadbait pencil the fox ones the bite was not clear at all! it went up by 2 inches or so so i hit it FISH ON! not bad only a jack about 2 or 3 pbs its a start after a bit of trobal unhooking it caz it will insist not to open its mouth! then put it back in ther clear water. rebaited with another smelt shallowed up on the float after a bout an hour got another bi

i hook my dead baits head to flank and i think it sits in the water better but i heard that you shouldent do this because the fish can swallow the hooks quicker but iv never had eny problems (realy) i was just wondering if enyone dose it diffrent and why? also if enyone has eny tips on keeping deadbaits on the hook but whithout tying them on.
