just started this discussion as i'm wanting some ideas of new places to fish but due to the time of year i wouldn't mind knowing i'm on to a winner!! i'll start off by reccomending sandbeck lake near maltby, rotherham. it's an estate lake about 3-4 acres (i think!!) and has plenty of good fish from carp to high doubles to low twenties (maybe bigger but i've never caught any) tench to around 7-8lb but my favourites are the perch which go bigger than 4.5lbs. there are also pike, decent sized bream and all the usual silver fish. i,ve had carp to 10.5lb, perch to about 2.5lb tench to around 5lb and plenty of nice bream. anyone interested and i'll sort you out with day tickets (£4.00) directions & tactics/baits.
