How was the end of your season??

I had a terrible end. Didn't have a fish for 4 sessions but had 4 jacks and one about 10lb on the last day. That was from a spot I had my only 20 of the season from.

Done really badly on the Ouse this year. Only had a couple of doubles early in the season.

Thats a shame, I allways get exited about the prospect of a really decent fish back end but am yet to get one at this time of year, Fished a drain last Thursday and had 3 doubles to 13lb, Friday I took my boat out on the ouse and had 17 fish mostly jacks but 2 doubles and lost a really good fish (20+), Sunday I had 5 jacks and one double at 17lb 10oz on a drain, this fish I caught earlier in the season at 14 something so it had put on 3lb in weight, I finished the season with 35 doubles and 4x twenties which is easily in terms of numbers my best season to date, allthough the really big fish eluded me, I can't wait till next season.

Sounds like you did alright geeza!

I'm gonna make it my mission to try different places next year. I spent too long after a fish i lost as well on 1 drain and didn't have it again !

last year I got bogged down after 1 fish on the fens and didn't catch it, and had a very poor season, this year I have tried new waters and been very lucky, I have had 20s on a first trip to a new water twice, and have enjoyed the change in scenery.

I planned 4 trips at the end of the season,3 got rained off and one was called off due to going to the pub the night before for a 'couple' of pints and sleeping through the alarm.........DOH!!!
