I hope not. Why not stock KHV struck waters with traditional silver fish such as Tench, Bream,Roach ,Rud etc. The over stocking of barbel in to a comercial as any angler with a bit of common sense will tell you is a bad idea. Low levels of oxegen and a large stock of barbel is a disaster. I have spent fair amount of time fishing comercials in my younger years and understand that they need to be densly stocked to keep the bites comming and anglers comming back but to think of barbel as the next carp wrong. Barbel unlike carp need a to be treated with a cirtain amount of respect when caught not bundled in to keep nets by the hundred.Dont get me wrong Carp also deserve respect but in general can put up with multiple captures and being retained in keepnets. Some fishery owners might stock barbel in vast quantities but the ones with a bit of common sense and some knoledge of fisheries management will hopefully go for the traditional aproach and not risk losing a lot of money and more importantly not risk the health of the fish. Rant over .lol

i sure the carp will suffer food wise ie smaller carp the barbel get there heads down on the food quicker than the carp . Thats what i,ve found on fishing waters stocked with small barbel the carp get there noses pushed out when there on the feed i just get the odd carp all the rest are lemming barble

all that it is that when i,ve say arrived at a water only to be fully booked up etc and ended up on there match lake so to say to wet a line at least all i seem to hit is barble on still waters only the odd carp barble after barble even on boilies lol tried switching baits does,nt work for me even though the water is rammed with small carp

This is a good thing, Carp fishing at the moment doesnt involve still, it just involves throwing a massive PVA bag as far as you can, and waiting for the buzzer to go off. its boring.
