ii)perch lay their eggs on birds feet, thats how they appearin previously empty bits of water????
iii)the zander is a cross between a perch and a pike??????

I know that hemp is wicked I have had a shoal of chub go mental over it onthe stour they go into a feeding frenzy thet really do get the "munchies" when i bagged up on them they were literally pooing pure hemp and were as fat and engorged on it - it was quiet warm as i recall and i believe its not as efective in the cold-never seen that phenonema again it was a one off that i will never forget - i used to get hemp seeds in my "stuff" but that was decades ago i know it is basically related to the "herb" and as far as im aware its true!

i have never heard that about perch breeding habits? i always find eels get to a pond 1st because they can travel overland at night

zander is a perch/pike - as i recall there is also another rarer fish that is a pike/perch i dont recall its name?

there are many fishing myths and stories and stigma and No No's -us fisherman love em! one of my favourites is never take fish or seafood as food like tuna sandwiches is right off he menu gaurentee a blank! lol having said that i hasd a tuna sandwich when i caught that chub last week so just goes to show it all blx! ;) iv also heard some other real gems like if you hold the rod the fish feel your pulse/heart beat through the line

Zander is a species of fish. The scientific name is Sander lucioperca (or Stizostedion lucioperca), and it is closely allied to perch. Zander are often called pike-perch as they resemble the pike with their elongated body and head, and the perch with their spiny dorsal fin. Zander are not, as is commonly believed, a pike and perch hybrid. In Europe, a second species (Lucioperca wolgensis) is limited to rivers in southern Russia and the basin of the Danube.

The zander is a common and popular game fish in Europe: it is often eaten and may reach 20 kilograms in size. Typical catches, however, are considerably smaller, and most anglers are very happy with fish of 5 kg or so. The zander is not indigenous to the UK, but was introduced into the East Anglian drains (large artificial rivers) in the 20th century, and spread rapidly.
Zander thrive in water with rather low visibility, whereas the pike often dominates the predator fish niche in clear water: pikes use their vision to find prey, while zander "listen" to the water, and are very active at night. However, they need plenty of oxygen and soon disappear from eutrophic areas.
In 2004, it was revealed that some restaurants in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area of Minnesota in the United States were serving imported zander instead of the closely related North American walleye (the state fish, and a popular food in the region). While zander and walleye are almost indistinguishable by taste, the restaurants were selling the European fish under the name "walleye", which is considered an illegal practice. An investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration followed

the river i fish (bristol avon) is full of fish everything from minnow and bleak up to double figure pike and carp. i fish on a free stretch through town and people are always amazed that there are any fish in there at all. my biggest of anything is less than 4 pound but when i pulled it i had such an admiring audience, goodness knows what they're like with the guys that do it properly!!

Hemp seed works because it has an apearance and texture simular to small water snails that fish feed on,
Zander are a seperate species in there own right, although they do look like a cross between pike and perch,
as for the perch eggs, you never know.
