fishing the birmingham canal network and landing a few pike
nothing in to double figures yet (this year)
all on lives.
i have spent quite a while wobbling deads and tried static deads both on float and nailed to the bottom
but no takes.
going to try gudgeon deads this weekend
anyone used them in canals?
also has anyone used young bream as dead bait
i met a guy on the canal and he said they were a great bait for big pike
i took his advice with a pinch of salt
but i would be interested to know if anyone has had any success with them

If there are bream in the canal then young bream would be ideal bait bud
