My best moment was an 18lb pike which I recently found out was a club record, I have photos some where on disc but cant bloody find em, she was a real beast caught end of may about 4 years ago and was the best fifgt I ever had with a pike (not that I go around picking fights with pike!!!)

I think mine probably has to be a 28lb 6oz Pike from a Mid Kent Fisheries pit in October 2003.
In the Summer of that year I had my rod bag stolen from a friend's garage and I lost everything that i'd spent years getting just how I wanted it.
I was so gutted I even thought about knocking fishing on the head for a while.
Then I was loaned a pair of carp rods and some old shimano 5000's and went for a 48hr session fishing one rod for Carp and the other for Pike.
To cut a long story short on the second morning I landed the beast after a fight of well over 35mins!
Best fight i've ever had from a Pike, a PB by 6lbs and at the time a lake record.
I soon decided to gradually start getting my gear back together..Funny that!

Fish-wise, the 10lb 8oz Tench I had from the same lake some years later was more of an acheivement for me, but that Pike reminded me what it's all about when I needed it most.

I have many memorable catches, my first double and twenty (carp) 6Ib Chub but the best has to my 2nd ever Barbel on my second weekend trip to the Dorset Stour all 11Ib 2oz of it, caught on a carp rod watching the line peel off as it shot downstream, unbelievable.

My biggest Pike, caught in 1997. A lifelong dream & ambition fulfilled.
One I caught last winter was pretty special too.

It has to be my biggest carp at 26 pounds 4 ounces caught from a secret southern stillwater. In 2007 i had been blanking for several months the fight was a solid ressitance. And i only realised how big it was in the landing net and it was nearly a lake record which stands at 28 pounds.
