End the close season?

Now there are fewer fisherman on the rivers
do you think we should do away with the close season?

your right there mate!.
Its one of a dozen ish rivers that are still very popular
unfortunatly there are a lot of other rivers that have seen a huge decrease
in members and day ticket fishermen,
this is down to the thousands of still waters around the country that are
brimming with fish.
Whether this is a good thing or not is another debate.

It seems that next year the water authority will have the power to decide.
i dont think they will ask us what we think,which is why i started this post
to find out what peoples views are.

Don't be fooled into thinking that when the close season was scrapped it was for the benefit of anglers. It was done to benefit the tackle trade - a large percentage of people in the trade don't even fish anymore!!!; ▶ Reply to This
