In this weeks anglers mail it was revealed that canoeists want unrestricted acess to all of british waterways. They are currentley only allowed to use 30% of waterways in the uk what do you think.

I believe that if canoeists get full acess they will destroy fish spawning grounds ,upset nesting birds and there will be more comfrotations between angler and canoeist especially on the small rivers and brooks.

I believe that the canoe is the oldest form of water transport known to man..
For thousands of years people have used them as river and stillwater transport, hunting and fishing.
The most harmful thing for fish and fish stocks, is those of us who fish for, and interfere with them.
From what I can see, a canoe simply floats by them like any other aquatic inhabitant.
