This years Team Selection Final will take place over the weekend of the 1st & 2nd of November on the River Soar at Loughborough in Leicestershire. We have fished here a few times before and know that this venue will provide you with plenty of differing features and change of pace of flow to test your skills to their utmost.

Our chosen base for the final will be the Grand Central Hotel where we have negotiated a special price of £25 per person per night based on two sharing a twin room (£50 total) with a very limited number of single room accommodation also available at £40 per night. Please note that this is not a luxury hotel, and is a little rough around the edges; but as we are all there for the fishing - at this price! Mind you the reports on the grub are excellent, it's your choice.

The Beauchief, Cedar hotel are offering accommodation at £65 per twin room and £50 per single per night. However there are plenty of other hotels and guest houses in the area for you to choose from. A contact list for the vast majority of these will be listed on the website in the next week or two for you. Please remember to mention the BPS when booking your accommodation to take advantage of these special prices.

Registration for the event will be held each day from 8.15am when weigh cards will be issued and scales checked for accuracy. fishing is expected to commence no later than 10.30am and finish 6 hours later at 4.30pm. Meet back at the hotel afterwards where the results will be posted as quickly as possible.

Entry for the event is £40, inclusive of day tickets, pools and BPS administration fee.Pools will be paid out to the Top 3 anglers from each day of competition, with a further prize going to the captor of the largest pike overall, most pike overall, and one last cash prize for the largest Zander caught.

Please Note: that all cheques must be received by our treasurers Stu & Louise by no later than the 27th of September. All entries received after this date will incur an extra surcharge of £5. So pay early to save yourself that extra Fiver! As usual we will be holding a raffle to help raise the funds required to run the BPS, so any help you can offer will be appreciated. These extra funds will help us to part finance the cost of bait and other items required for the 2010 International in Ireland.

Please Note: That due to the nature of the fishing and distances to be covered, that this match does not favour those with disabilities. You are more than welcome to come along and take part, but be aware of the problems to be faced.
