abt 3 kg of boilies and abt the same of pellets, abt 1kg of maize as its only a small lake u wont be fishing at range so just keep introducing bait every 4 hours or so and good luck

Hi Reecy,
Great to see you're going to France, lovely place.
Well Reecy, in my opinion the lake you're going to fish is a bit small for a lot of bait. However everyone has a different opinion on what constitutes a lot of bait , i'd say, if you're after the odd large fish ,then the method or PVA bag takes some beating, placed in the right spots it can be a real winner and is also good in low water temperatures but don't include any oily baits.
But, if its numbers of fish (a "BIG HIT") you want (warmer weather ) then buy as many good quality boilies as you can afford plus cheaper, alternatives like pellets, seeds, and maize a bag of each. then just adjust your baiting pattern as the weather and fish feeding activity dictates. If you have the room to take the seeds and maize already prepared take what you can but if space is an issue, then some types of particle baits dont need boiling.

If it's the cats you're after then big marine pellets are a good BONUS bait - and the bonus is...
.............. Carp love them aswell.:)
If you can find any info on the lake you're going to it would be helpful.
Good Luck........ Nick.

Were heading off next week to France. 12 acre lake with a good head of fish. Bait wise wer bringing 10kg of fresh rolled boilies."20 kg of pellets each and alternative hookbaits i.e maize, tiger nuts. We prob wont get thru half it but if they do switch on we wanna be able to keep them on the baits. Tactics will be to bait each rod at the start with about 1kg of grub and top it up with every fish caught.I`ll let you know how it goes when I`m back.
