i was wondering if anyone has tried for mullet on the fly?. if so what fly's were tried. would like to hear from anyone who has tried it.

Never tried myself, but a guy in my club does. He uses a bread fly imitation.

Hi Martin, I have caught rudd, roach and believe it or not, crucian carp and carp on a bread fly, just never fly fished in the sea. The bread flies I used were just loose white thread like wool tied on to the shank of a size 12. several starnds were tied on, as many as you could without making it too tight. then tease out the strands and trim roughly to size of a 5p or slightly larger. Looks like crap, but once in the water fills out and looks like bread flake. Get em feeding on freebies and Bobs your uncle.

You wont really need any specific fly tying kit, just some white cotton, white wool (or similar) and a little superglue to seal knots.
