I aint fished it much this season but the 2 times i have fished i`ve got fish. A few guys i know who fish it often are getting a few doubles between them too. You need to find places where most dont fish which means walking a long way!!

Rory u are dead right there..Its been hard and its been cold and wet. Arriving in the dark and hiking a long way to get to rarely fished areas, returning to the car well after dark.. Last 6 trips for 22 fish, 4 doubles and a twenty, between a total, of 15 rod days.. up to three of us there at times.

Denis

Hi mate i have had a poor season so far too i am convinced the weather is the reason one minute its mild and the next its cold,The Pike i have caught have been covered in leeches which suggests that they are just laying on the bottom and not moving around much.I started my Pike season in October and i had a good month plenty of doubles and 3 twentys,November and December have been a struggle just a few fish caught and January has always been a bad month for me.With being a member of the Pike Anglers Club Of Great Britain i have made alot of friends over the years from all over the Country they are all struggling with their Pike season too.

in a nutshell yes its been hard going in the driving rain/cold blanking far too often not even a jack but as anyone started to burnout through keep blanking (( i think not" )) i will just keep slogging it out & edge my bets by using the moon phases dawn dusk feeding times and avoiding pressured waters or at least fish them mid week late afternoons etc
