Just got back from pike fishing overnight with a mate so other than the bivvy I took all the gear i would take on a day trip.Usually 3 carp rods (3lb t/c),1 float rod,a good selection of dead baits (smelt, mackerel, lamprey, roach) and all the usual basics like spare trebles,a couple of flats, spare weights etc,digicam...oh and not forgetting me trusty stove n flask :)

I take the usual gear, but i also take a telescopic spinning rod loaded with braid, with a box full of lures/rubber shads & spinners etc. If i blank, dead baiting say after a few hours, i throw everything in the car and go spinning (mobile) never fails ! btw don't forget those forceps !

Most important - a large landing net, unhooking mat, couple of pairs of forceps (fox ones are excellent) + hook cutters for emergencies.
3 bait rods, usually 2 for deadbaits & 1 for lives. Also a lure rod or sometinmes two. Choice of lures depending on venue & time of year.
Bait, food, drink etc.
Mostly fish from a boat these days so no need to travel light, just make sure the boat is organised.
All the best

Depends on boat or bank.. so as its winter we will look at bank fishing
Five rods , 3 dead bait rods a spare and a drifter rod,
4 shimano big pits.
6 drop back indicators and seven alrms, a set for my mate plus recievers 10 bank sticks all in rod carryall
As i live in Ireland only fish two rods at a time... ;-).

Coolbag with bait, coolbag also has pockets for all the end gear , weights , forceps and other tools, scales and camera, lunch and flask

Thats it apary from wet gear , chest waders, hats and gloves x2...
