hi all been thinking about changing my boots i have skee tec field boots at the moment and they are fully thermal but dont actually work that well.i went on the hampshire avon for 2 days barbeling .the fish were not playing and my feet were so cold they were numb,my mate was with me and he has similar boots and he had the same problem.now as any angler knows there is nothing worse than being cold especially your hands and feet,so what do you all wear can you recomend any decent boots on the market.

i have the same problem with my skeetex field boots adding a quality pair of thermal socks helps but when i upgrade i'll be looking at Baffin boots they are supposed to be the ones to go for ,expensive but reputedly the best on the market if you get them from the U.S the exchange rate is really good at the mo so you may be able to get a good deal , some of their range are rated down to -148 degrees F. !!!!!

I've got a pair of either pro logic or TFG boots, not sure which and I've NEVER had cold feet in them, and I don't have to wear really thick socks with them, I've also found out in the past that they are very waterproof too, think I paid about £60 for them so not too dear either

I have the same boots now but before had sundridge hot foot boots(wellies) they were miles better but not as comfortable for walking long distances.

I have 2 pairs of footwear for different times. If i need to walk any sortof distance or i`m launching and using a boat i`ll use my thigh high neoprene waders with a good pair of thermal socks. Spot on and warm legs too. If i`m doin a bivvy session i use my skeetex moonboots. The fur inside is really warm and they slip on and off very quick for those out of bed runs in the dark. They do sweat a bit if you need to walk any distance.
