A late season tench

Last saturday me and my dad went fishing at a southern stillwater. The weather was sunny but only slightly cold we set up our rods were we thoughty the carp would be and cast. Everthing was quiet not a sniff however at around five pm the indicator lifted up to the rod and stayed there i struck and connected it soon became appertent that it was a tench half it,s tail was missing. But it was a fish it went to five pounds on the scales making it my shared second biggest tench ever.

A day for experementing

Last saturday me and my dad went fishing at one of ashton keynes club waters. This was the first time we would be using a bait boat so we went for a few hours. It was a nice hot sunny day but we failed to catch despite using the baitboat to reach areas out of casting range. So it was a learning curve for me to use a baitboat for the first time.

With the extraordinarily high temperatures that were experienced over a long period of time, the carp at Redmire appeared on the surface from shortly after dawn till well into the night. On occasions they remained on the surface right through the night.

Fishing was hardly worthwhile, the carp being rarely interested in feeding. Most of their time was spe… Continue

My birthday present

It turns out that the shark fishing in wales cound bot be done this year due to the £600 it would cost and because i could not get the time off work. So instead i opted for a bait boat i chose the TFG patriot at £300 pounds i recived it on the twenty third of august from hinders. And then on wednesday we took it out to coate water just to get used to the operating systems. I am hoping to get to use it soon.

I will be nineteen on saturday and i am looking into shark fishing of the south wales coast. I have also put my name down for a working party at the southern stillwater. And in october we will be evaluating our stock of fish via electro fishing.

At about eleven pm we seen the air ballons coming up from bristol and shortly after i witnissed a shooting star we failed to catch but then on the way home circling just above the fields was a fulcan bomber.
